Why not put your feet up and join us for a refreshing cup of tea in the Dragonfly Tea Room.
We are delighted that this small family-owned British tea company, with over 100 years of expertise in sourcing, growing and making the very purest and finest of teas, will be sharing their very latest collection at the Fair in our specially created Dragonfly Tea Room.
Dragonfly was created by Bruce Ginsberg, a renowned expert on all things to do with the little green leaf. A fourth generation tea maker, Bruce is also a scholar of East Asian culture and landscape aesthetics, having spent time in Japan studying the ancient tea ceremony, as well as farming tea in South Africa for many years. Bruce’s grandfather Benjamin Ginsberg was the founder of rooibos tea in 1903, and following in the family footsteps, Bruce introduced rooibos to British tea drinkers in 1976 and was the first to introduce white tea, honeybush and many green teas here in the UK. Bruce’s daughter Georgia is now the fifth generation to share this love for tea.
At Dragonfly, we travel the globe to find artisanal and often rare brews and are passionate about introducing tea lovers to new, quality tea experiences. We make a point of knowing and trusting our tea suppliers – our ‘tea friends’ as they’re known in China – and are committed to traditional and sustainable methods. We never use artificial additives, preservatives or colourings, chlorine-bleached or nylon teabags, or GM crops.
We are great believers in ‘slow tea’, not just a convenience to be gulped down, but a drink to cherish and savour. For 5,000 years, tea has been a source of medicine, meditation, adventure and creative expression. We celebrate this rich culture in our annual Dragonfly Short Story Competition at the Henley Literary Festival, encouraging budding writers to pop the kettle on and let their imagination take flight.
From our everyday green and rooibos teas, to our luxury Leaf Teas of Distinction; our signature organic speciality range, to our new artisan Tea House Collection with classics like Earl Grey, delicious herbal blends such as Garden Mint and Verbena, and rarities including Eastern Beauty Oolong and scented Jade Orchid; Dragonfly has a delicious tea to offer for everyone and every occasion.
Stockists include Waitrose, Ocado, and independent food and health retailers.
See our website for more information, and also for some fabulous tea-inspired recipes.
